September
The month of September is especially abundant with events and celebrations

- The famous procession of Santa Croce with a procession through the streets of the city’s historic centre of civil and religious authorities, costume characters, flag-flyers and marching bands. The procession begins on 13 September at 7:00 p.m. from the Basilica di San Frediano and heads towards the Duomo di San Martino. At 11:00 p.m. the fireworks show can be seen from the city walls in the historic centre. Venerazione del Volto Santo, patron saint of Lucca, exhibited in the Duomo (San Martino)

- Traditional September fairs in Piazza San Michele and Borgo Giannotti.

- Piazza San Michele permanent marketplace from September 13 - 29

- Borgo Giannotti September 14, 21, 29 and every Sunday during the month Peddler’s Market

- Lucca di Notte: Non-competitive nocturnal race through the streets of the historic centre 10 September at 9:00 p.m. streets of the historic centre

October
- Mostra dell'Industria Cartaria [Paper Industry Trade Fair]. Second half of October.

November
- Lucca Comics and Games: Exhibition of comic strips and role-playing games for collectors and aficionados. An important rendezvous with collateral initiatives, conventions, meetings, exhibits.
